Iran’s veteran actor Daryoush Asadzadeh dies at 96

Iran’s cinema, theater and television actor Daryoush Asadzadeh dies at the age of 96.

Iran’s cinema, theater and television actor Daryoush Asadzadeh has passed away at the age of 96.

According to his lawyer, Asadzadeh died at his home on Sunday.

Asadzadeh was admitted to hospital last month after his general condition deteriorated.

Last year, the veteran actor was hospitalized after suffering from a bout of cancer.

Asadzadeh was born in the province of Kermanshah in November 1923.

He, who was also a writer, played roles in various TV series such as ‘Dark Intelligence 1’, ‘The Green House’, ‘The Friendship Agency’, ‘Days of Youth’, ‘Suitcase’, ‘Special Guests’, ‘39 Weeks’, and ‘Huge Problems 2’.

He took part in many movies, including ‘Spouse’, ‘Scent of Camphor; Fragrance of Jasmine’, ‘This is not a Love Song’, ‘Music Box’, ‘Resident of the Wooden Cottage’, ‘Hello Grandfather’, and ‘Iran's Orphanage’.

Asadzadeh also appeared in TV films like ‘Treasure of the White House’, ‘A Decent Job’, and ‘The Poet and Brothers’.
